Production plant

The Cardonaplast plant was founded in 2003 as the production plant of the Plastivaloire Group in Spain.

Located in the town of Cardona (Barcelona) in the heart of Catalonia .

Cardonaplast have in total 120 employes distributed in different areas.

We supply varied customers such as: Stellantis, Renault, Seat, Valeo, Legrand and Shopping Basket.

86% automotive, such as Tier 1 and Tier 2.
14% in products from other industry sectors.

Cardonaplast is equipped with machinery for the injection moulding machine with tonnages from 40Tn to 1500 Tn and and blow moulding machines ranging from 30Tn to 50Tn.

In the facilities Cardonaplast have also have the following technologies: US welding, cold welding, laser marking, screen printing, flow pack, assembly and mechanical mold workshop.

The PVL Group founded its Spanish production plant in Cardona. His first big client was for the television sector.
2013
Bi-injection and automatic assembly technologies are introduced to work for OEMs
2014
The first blowing machine for automotive air duct projects arrives in Cardona
2021
Expansion of the industrial surface, until 8.800m2, to assume the new projects.
2023
Installation of photovoltaic panels with an annual production of 900MWh.

OUR TECHNOLOGIES

CARDONAPLAST is focused on customer satisfaction, adapting to the specific requirements for each project.

The team collaborate from the conception of the project, through the development of tools and molds, to complete industrialization, series production and direct deliveries to the end customer.

This can be done thanks to the high Know How and experience the team has, in the Group and locally.

For the production of the plastic injection parts, Cardonaplast has 13 Engel machines from 40 to 1500 Tons, equipped with robots, 2K bi-injection, overmolding of metal inserts, sequential and gas-assisted injection.

The parts made using blow-moulding technology are made on the 8 machines from 30 to 50Tn. Currently the parts produced have measures from 100mm in length to 1100mm.

The manufacturing processes are complemented by manual and automated assembly machines, poka-yoke controls, ultrasonic welding, hot plate, cold welding, flow pack and a mold repair workshop. A final decoration can also be applied to the pieces with screen printing, laser marking, and IML processes.
