Langeais (France)

Head office, technical centre and production plant.

The Plastivaloire Group’s head office was founded in 1963 in Langeais, near Tours in Indre-et-Loire (37), in the heart of the Loire Valley and its famous châteaux. More than 400 employees work in the technical centre and the factory.

The production of plastic parts is divided within the site as follows:

  • 50% of the parts produced are destined for the automotive sector
  • 50% of production is in the non-automotive sector. PVL supplies various sectors: building & electrical, household appliances, multimedia, leisure & gardening, luxury goods and design, etc.

Equipped with around forty injection moulding machines ranging from 50 to 1800T, the site has injection, decoration, painting and assembly technologies, as well as a mechanical workshop.
The technical centre was created around ten years ago in Langeais, enabling us to offer our customers, thanks in particular to the Research & Innovation department :

  • Co-design and optimisation of their products
  • A technical and economic study of products and investments
  • Prototyping
  • Ever more advanced thermoplastic injection and finishing technologies
  • The right materials for the right result.

The Langeais plant is determined to remain at the cutting edge of innovation while guaranteeing maximum customer satisfaction. To achieve this, we offer a wide range of technologies in our Plastic Injection, Assembly, Decoration and Painting and Mechanical workshops.

Our plant excels in the production of high-quality plastic parts using a wide range of injection technologies. With 42 injection moulding machines covering a capacity range from 50 tonnes to 1800 tonnes, we are equipped to meet a variety of needs, from overmoulding metal inserts to bi-material production.

Our technology includes gas injection, sequential injection, compression injection and Roctool induction for optimum performance. A vertical compression machine, equipped with two Roctool generators, reinforces our ability to offer tailor-made solutions.

Our assembly workshop combines the efficiency of special machines with the expertise of manual assembly. Cutting-edge technologies such as ultrasonic welding, vibration welding and mirror welding are integrated to guarantee high-quality, aesthetic assemblies.

Our expertise in painting is reflected in a wide range of processes, including precise automated in-cab application, manual skills for high-quality finishes, and the use of PVD decoration.

The diversity of our decoration techniques also includes pad printing, screen printing for intricate details, hot stamping, and the application of labels for additional personalisation. Every product that leaves our facility reflects our commitment to quality and aesthetics.

In our Tool Room, a combination of state-of-the-art machines, such as sink erosion, digital turning, milling and surface grinding, ensures the manufacture of high-precision components.
